I took the chance to make some beauty buys for spring and summer: warm terracotta- copper shades for eyes and cheeks, a classic orangey coral for the lips, a purple-toned corrective powder and an hydrating face mist for a perfect fresh base during hot months.
MAC Mineralize, Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist (23€/100mL)
It energizes and hydrates skin instantly giving a radiant and not oily result. It helps on making the foundation on your skin looking more natural and not settling on fine lines etc. It can be used before or after makeup. Infused with green tea and cirtus scents.
MAC Blush, Burnt Pepper (22,50€)
A warm terracotta shade with redish copper undertones and an opaque matte finsh. I love this color because it is very unique and it looks excellent with a nice contouring on the cheeks. It’s perfect for tanned skin but I think it will look good as well on lighter skin if it is applied with light hand. It has a soft texture and it is super pigmented and long lasting.
MAC Prep + Prime, Colour Correcting Compact Powder in Illuminate (29,50€)
A lavendar color that illuminates dull looking skin. I was surprised by how instantly it works.Apply a bit of powder on cheeks, under eye area and the nose to brigten your appearence. Lilac color cancels the yellow on the skin and it doesn’t contain any shimmer. It is a diffult to find color on the market, I think Makeup Forever has an alternative product. There is also a loose corrective powder by MAC which is nice as well but not easy to use during the day. I first noticed this powder on a Carli Bybel’s video for begginers on color correcting and I totally agree with her that it is a product that works miraculous!
MAC Lipstick, Vegas Volt (19€)
A bold summerish pinky coral with orange undertones. It flaters tanned skin and give a retro touch on fair skins. It looks excellent with no intense eye makeup as it is a very bright color. Very creamy and opaque with a semi-matte finish. The lips look very hydrated but you must be careful as it may fade easily.
And last but not least,
MAC Eyeshadow, Brown Script (18€)
An ultra matte eyeshadow with rich pigmentetion. Α warm chestnut brown with red undertones. It is highly pigmented and long lasting. I will use it for a 90s makeup look on all over my lids and lot of blending. You can match it with a more metallic or shimmery eyesadow for a luminous look. This eyeshadow was discontinued but came back on the market because it is a favorite of many girls! It can be worn by brown, green or blue-eyed beauties.
